Beautiful Wedding Reception Centerpieces

Flowers at wedding are a must-have!  The following are my favorite centerpieces from the Aroos wedding show at the Hyatt in Irvine, CA.

I love the champagne glass "spill" effect using white roses, with the "bubbles" of hanging glass ornaments, giving it an overall very romantic and soft elegant feel.

Oh Baby! Shower of Fun!

Babies are the most precious thing in life to celebrate!  When that celebration comes in the form of a shower, it's even better.  Today was such a beautiful day, to celebrate a beautiful baby, soon to be on the way.  The party honored the mommy-to-be while at the same time reflecting her trendy personality.  The super cute and contemporary nursery theme and the unique party favors left a great impression on me--and the guests.  Not only were the desserts gorgeous, but tasted great too--it was actually the best almond cake I've ever tasted.  I can't wait to meet this special little girl.  Congrats Sean & Heather!!!

Audi R8 Photoshoot, Before and After photo editing

Thank goodness for Adobe Lightroom and Adobe CS5!  Hands down, these are my two favorite tools when editing photos.

It wasn't until I took my first photoshop class back in college that I realized just how time consuming the post production process can be.  Photography doesn't only entail photographing the client at the location--and going home and being done for the day.  No, it takes days--sometimes weeks--to edit all the photos in a collection.  Here are some "before and after" photo editing examples of a recent Audi R8 shoot.

Ethan and Vince

When photographing children, I've found that in order to get successful shots, I have to embrace my inner child first.

I encouraged these boys to just play and be themselves.  The result: When they were in their own element, I got genuine expressions and wonderful candid shots!  I got to the heart of their personality by photographing them in their natural surroundings, instead of forcing children into poses.  We had such a great time and the bubbles were a hit!
